Ushahidi is an citizen-driven, global system that provides critical and timely information to those who need it most.
Designed so that almost all can use it, Ushahidi gathers citizen-generated crisis information from SMS and MMS messages and compiles the information on a map.
It has been used by Al Jazeera on their War on Gaza website to monitor activity in Gaza, and to track official and unofficial swine flu reports from all over the world.
