Every step counts to save the Amazon

Greenpeace have, for the past three years, been investigating the leather trade in the Amazon - a trade which has been supplying materials to top shoe manufacturers like Nike, Timberland and Adidas, and which also contributes to large-scale deforestation.

Their efforts have prompted a U-turn from some of these manufacturers - but their work continues as they urge more companies to move away from materials gleaned from this under-threat region.
