A group of astronauts - four "mission specialists", a pilot and a mission Commander - prepare to board the Space Shuttle Endeavour prior to its launch from Nasa's Kennedy Space Centre, Cape Canaveral today (8th February 2010).

The six will be undertaking a thirteen-day flight to the International Space Station (ISS) to undertake assembly work on the station. This marks the shuttle's 24th mission, and one of the programme's last five flights.

Endeavour was originally scheduled to take off on Sunday 7th February, but the mission was postponed due to inclement weather conditions.
