Mime artist Dimitri de Perrot performs during a production of Zimmermann & de Perrot's "Öper Öpis" ("Someone Something") at the Barbican Centre, as part of the London International Mime Festival.

Founded by British mime and clown artist, Nola Rae, and producer, Joseph Seelig in 1977, the festival is inspired by Cologne's "Gaukler Festival" and also Amsterdam’s "Festival of Fools". Originally designed to showcase British talent – more often known abroad than at home – it has since expanded to feature some of the world’s top circus artists.

The festival runs from 13th to 31st January 2010 and is a rich mix of visual arts, circus, music, theatre and dance.
