Prince Charles to speak at Copenhagen
Prince Charles has been campaigning to help save the rainforests
Prince Charles has announced plans to make a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the high level part of the upcoming Copenhagen climate change summit.
The Prince of Wales, who is behind the environmental charity The Prince's Rainforests Project, is likely to use the opportunity to highlight the need for co-operation between economic development and caring for the environment.
According to the Rainforests Project, he will also emphasise the need for people to live as part of, rather than apart from, nature.
The Prince will make his speech on 15th December, to delegates of 192 nations. However, many leaders will not be arriving at the conference until 17th December, and US president Barack Obama will only be in Copenhagen on 9th December.

Last month, Prince Charles announced a global emergency funding scheme aimed at reducing destruction of the world's rainforests.
The plan will see developed nations paying countries such as Brazil and Indonesia to reduce deforestation by cutting back on trades such as cattle grazing, logging and palm oil.
