First Lady makes comic book debut
The book on the First Lady's life is expected to be a sell out
Michelle Obama is to become the unlikely star of an upcoming comic book, it has been revealed.
The First Lady is set to be immortalised in the latest Female Force graphic novel from Bluewater Productions, which specialises in creating books on inspirational female figures.
According to the publisher, the book tells the story of her life from living in Chicago as a youngster to her husband winning the presidential race last year.
However, the company added that the plot of the graphic novel is set to be upbeat and focus on positives rather than mention any controversial speeches or issues.
By starring in the 22-page comic, which will be released on April 25th, Michelle is following in the footsteps of the likes of Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton.
The books on both of those figures are now on their second run after proving hugely successful, although the upcoming release is expected to be more popular.
Darren Davis, president of Bluewater Productions, said: "I feel like the guy who invented the Furby. The reaction has been insane."
President Barack Obama has already featured in a top-selling issue of a comic, after making an appearance in a special edition copy of the Amazing Spider-Man earlier this year.
